PawatLabz.com
Terms of Use
Last updated: September 26, 2026 — version 2.1
The short version
- Pawat Labz is a personal, independent project with no commercial activity.
- The site is under development: features, games, progression rules and these Terms change regularly.
- You can browse the site freely. A free account is used for leaderboards, progression and Co-Labz.
- Only the data needed to run the site is collected. It is never sold, rented or handed over.
- No ads, no advertising cookies. An in-house audience measurement helps improve the site: no cookie, no IP address, no link to the account, and anyone can opt out (see article 19).
- The works published here (music, games, code, visuals) are protected: reusing them without permission is forbidden.
Important — minors
Pawat Labz offers no pornographic or extreme gore content. Some artistic, musical, narrative, humorous or experimental content may nevertheless not be suitable for younger audiences. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising minors' browsing.
1. Publisher and hosting
Publisher: pawatlabz.com is published on a personal, non-professional basis by a private individual under the artist name Pawat. There is currently no company and no business registration number. As permitted by article 6 III-2 of French law no. 2004-575 of June 21, 2004 (LCEN), the publisher has chosen not to publish their legal identity, which is known to the host.
Publisher contact: [email protected]
Host: HOSTINGER INTERNATIONAL LTD — 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus — www.hostinger.com. The site runs on a virtual private server (VPS) rented from this host.
2. About the site
Pawat Labz is an independent creative lab under construction. The site is used to showcase, test, share and develop artistic, musical, digital and technical projects: music, instrumentals and beats, music videos, animation, web games, tools, freestyle (Impro Labz), guides (Lab Academy), collaborations between artists (Co-Labz) and experimental content.
The site is in active development. Many changes are planned: features may appear, change or disappear, and the games, tools, progression systems (XP, ranks, quests) and rules described here may be modified at any time. These Terms describe how the site works on the date shown at the top of the page and will be updated with each version.
The site has no commercial activity. These Terms will be reviewed if the project evolves into a registered activity (freelance, sales, marketplace or other).
3. Acceptance and changes to the Terms
Using the site implies acceptance of these Terms. Creating an account requires accepting them explicitly by ticking the dedicated checkbox. Users who do not agree with these Terms must stop using the site.
The Terms may change as the site evolves. The date and version number at the top of the page show the latest update. In case of a significant change, members may be notified by email or by a message on the site. Continuing to use the site after the update means accepting the new version.
These Terms are available in French and English. In case of differing interpretations, the French version prevails.
4. Access to the site
Most of the site is freely accessible, at no cost and without an account. Some features require an account: server-side score saving, leaderboards, progression (XP and quests), profile, avatar and the Co-Labz area.
Pawat Labz may at any time modify, suspend, limit or close all or part of the site for maintenance, updates, security or the discontinuation of a project under development, without any right to compensation.
5. Member accounts
Users agree to provide a valid email address, to choose a username that does not harm anyone, to keep their password secret and not to use someone else's account. They are responsible for everything done from their account.
Several protections are in place:
- email address confirmation through a link valid for one hour;
- passwords of at least 12 characters, never stored in plain text (only an encrypted hash is kept);
- temporary lockout after several failed login attempts;
- password reset through a 6-digit code sent by email, valid for 15 minutes;
- protection of forms against forged requests (CSRF token).
Pawat Labz may suspend or close an account in case of abuse, cheating, fraud, spam, use of bots, technical attacks, copyright infringement or breach of these Terms.
Account deletion: users may request the deletion of their account at any time by writing to [email protected] from the address linked to the account. Deletion is done manually, as soon as possible. Direct deletion from the profile is planned for a future version.
6. XP, ranks and quests
Members can earn experience points (XP) by completing certain actions on the site, for example confirming their email, completing their profile, playing or completing quests. XP moves members up a ladder of ranks.
This system is experimental and constantly evolving. Rewarded actions, rates, ranks, quests and any related points or rewards may be added, changed, rebalanced or removed at any time, including by recalculating values already earned.
XP, ranks, quests and any points are game elements. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, sold, transferred or converted into money. In case of cheating or abuse, they may be corrected, removed or reset.
7. Online games, saves and leaderboards
The Gaming section offers web games playable in the browser: Jet Bot, Tetrix, Memory Labz, Breaking Labz and Des Sons & Des Mots. The list changes as new games are released.
Local save (all games)
- Best score, progress, audio preferences and game settings are stored in the browser's local storage (localStorage). This data stays on the device.
- Visitors who are not logged in see a consent window before playing. If they refuse, nothing is stored, but the game cannot start, because it needs this storage to work.
- Clearing the browser's data erases these saves.
Server save and leaderboards (logged-in members)
- For games with a leaderboard (currently Jet Bot, Tetrix and Memory Labz), logged-in members' games are sent to the server: score, duration, game mode and progress data. For Tetrix, the course of the game (sequence of moves) may be recorded to verify the score.
- By creating an account and accepting these Terms, members agree to this recording, which replaces the consent window for them.
- Leaderboards are public: they show the player's username, display name, avatar, rank and score.
Anti-cheat
Scores sent to the server are checked (consistency between score, duration and progress). A score deemed inconsistent may be rejected or set aside, and the anomaly is logged for security purposes. No additional personal data is collected for this. Any score manipulation (tampering with requests, injecting data, bots, scripts) is prohibited under article 15.
8. Co-Labz and member content
Co-Labz status
Co-Labz is the space for artists who collaborate with Pawat Labz (MCs, beatmakers, video makers, etc.). An artist can get Co-Labz status through a personal invitation sent by email. By accepting it, they certify that they are the artist concerned, and their member account becomes a collaborator account.
Each Co-Labz artist has a public profile that they manage themselves: stage name, photo, bio, disciplines and links to their social networks or platforms. Their changes are published directly, without prior review. Tracks, videos or projects they took part in may link to their profile.
The artist remains the sole owner of and the only one responsible for what they publish on their profile and the links they share. They guarantee that they hold the rights to it (including their photo) and agree not to link to illegal or misleading content. They can edit their profile or request its removal by email at any time.
Pawat Labz remains free to edit, hide or remove a profile that does not follow these rules, or to withdraw Co-Labz status in case of abuse.
Rules for all content
For any content sent to the site (avatar, photo, bio, message, file, test feedback), users guarantee that they hold the rights to it and refrain from posting illegal, hateful, defamatory, violent or sexually explicit content, or content that infringes on someone else's privacy. By publishing content on their profile, they allow Pawat Labz to display it on the site for as long as the profile exists.
Pawat Labz may refuse, edit, hide or remove any content that does not follow these rules. To report content, simply write to [email protected].
9. Support and donations
The "Support" page lets users make a free donation (from €1 to €1,000) to help the project: hosting, equipment, content creation and development.
- Payment is handled entirely by PayPal. Pawat Labz never sees or stores any banking data. PayPal's terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
- A donation is a voluntary contribution, with no commercial counterpart and no right to a product or service. In case of a mistake (wrong amount, double payment), simply write to the contact address to find a solution.
- Donors may leave a nickname, a message and an email address. All of this is optional and anonymous by default. The email is only used to send a thank-you message.
- A logged-in member who donates may receive XP. The rate is experimental and may change (see article 6).
As Pawat Labz is not a registered charity, donations are not tax-deductible.
10. Lab Store, downloads and free content
The Lab Store is being prepared. It may bring together tools, games, resources, free content and future products. No sales are open at this time. If sales open, dedicated terms of sale will be published.
Unless stated otherwise, free content may be used for personal purposes. Any public reuse or presentation must credit the source:
Pawat Labz — https://pawatlabz.com
GitHub link when the project is published: https://github.com/Pierre-Cinart
Redistribution, resale or commercial integration without permission is forbidden, unless a specific license clearly states otherwise.
11. Music, instrumentals, beats and audio content
The music, instrumentals, beats, samples and audio content published on Pawat Labz are protected by copyright. Their use must follow the conditions stated on the page of the content concerned.
Without a specific license, only listening and personal, private use are allowed. Resale, redistribution, uploading, commercial use, appropriation or removal of credit are forbidden.
12. Tools, applications and beta versions
Many tools and games are prototypes or beta versions. They may contain bugs or limitations, behave unexpectedly, or lose progress data during an update.
Bugs and vulnerabilities can be reported through the Contact page. Reporting a vulnerability in good faith is welcome. Exploiting it maliciously is forbidden.
13. Open source, GitHub and proprietary code
Some projects may be published on GitHub. In that case, only the license of the repository concerned sets the rights of use, modification and redistribution. Projects not explicitly marked as open source remain proprietary. Free does not mean open source.
14. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all Pawat Labz content is protected: texts, music, instrumentals, beats, images, videos, animations, logos, names, interfaces, tools, code, games, concepts, documents and graphic elements. Any copying, reproduction, distribution, modification, resale or appropriation without permission is forbidden.
Content by guest artists (Co-Labz, features, cyphers) remains the property of its respective authors.
15. Prohibited conduct
It is strictly forbidden to:
- mass-scrape the site or systematically copy its content;
- use unauthorized bots, scripts or automations;
- manipulate scores, progression or quests (cheating, tampering with requests, injecting data);
- attack the server, run aggressive scans or attempt an intrusion;
- reverse-engineer or bypass the protections of proprietary tools;
- resell, republish or appropriate Pawat Labz content, or remove its credits;
- create multiple accounts to avoid a sanction or distort leaderboards;
- use the site for spam, fraud, phishing, harassment or any illegal activity.
16. Limitation of liability
The site, its content, tools and games are provided as is, with no guarantee of permanent availability, freedom from errors or compatibility with every device and browser.
To the extent permitted by law, Pawat Labz cannot be held liable for data loss (scores, progress, local saves), interruptions, bugs or indirect damage related to the use of the site or of an experimental tool.
The site contains links to external services (YouTube, social networks, GitHub, PayPal…). Pawat Labz is not responsible for their content or practices.
17. Server load, quotas and queues
To protect the service, some tools may be limited: account required, quotas, limited number of requests or temporary suspension in case of excessive use. These measures protect the infrastructure and ensure fair access.
18. Personal data
Pawat Labz complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. This article explains what data is collected, why, how long it is kept and what everyone's rights are.
Data controller
The publisher of the site (see article 1), reachable at [email protected].

Who has access to the data
Data is stored on the site's server (Hostinger, see article 1) and is only accessed by the publisher. It is never sold, rented, handed over or used for advertising. Only the following are technically involved:
- Hostinger, which hosts the server;
- the email delivery service used for the site's messages (confirmation, password, newsletter);
- PayPal, only if the user makes a donation;
- YouTube (Google), only when the user starts a video (see article 19).
PayPal and Google may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
Security
Passwords are stored as an encrypted hash. Logged IP addresses and browsers are hashed, never kept in plain text. The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS) and access to the administration is restricted.
Your rights
Every user may request access to their data, its correction, deletion or portability, or the restriction of its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw their consent at any time. Simply write to [email protected]. An answer is given within one month.
In case of disagreement, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes, or with the authority of your country of residence.
19. Cookies and local storage
The site uses no advertising cookies and no external audience-tracking tools. It only uses what it needs to work and for its in-house audience measurement, so no consent banner is required:
- a session cookie (
pawat_labz_session) to stay logged in and secure forms, deleted when the browser closes; - the browser's local storage for game saves and consent (see article 7), the Impro Labz word language, whether the intro animation has already been seen and, where applicable, the choice not to be counted in the audience measurement;
- session storage, for the duration of a password reset, and for the visit identifier of the audience measurement (see below).
In-house audience measurement
To know which pages, games and music people enjoy, and where visits come from, the site measures its own audience, without any outside service. Each visit gets a random identifier, kept in the tab's session storage and erased when the tab is closed: a new visit gets a new identifier, and nothing makes it possible to link two visits together.
- Recorded: pages viewed and time spent, actions on the site (starting or finishing a game, listening to a track, clicking a video, signing up, subscribing to the newsletter, making a donation, without its amount), where the visit came from, the language, and whether the visitor is logged in.
- Never recorded: the IP address, the account identifier, the full address of the referring page (only the site name is kept, for example "google.com"), a browser fingerprint, game scores.
- Campaign links: links posted on social networks may contain a short code (for example
pawatlabz.com/?c=…). It only tells which post brought the visit, and it is removed from the address as soon as the site opens.
These statistics are only used by the publisher to improve the site. They are never cross-referenced with accounts or shared with third parties, and are kept for 25 months at most. This measurement follows the conditions set by the CNIL (the French data protection authority) for audience-measurement tools exempt from consent: strictly statistical purpose, no tracking across sites, limited retention period.
Opting out: simply turn on your browser's "Global Privacy Control" or "Do Not Track" signal, or use the button below. Visits from this device will then no longer be counted. This choice is saved in the browser's local storage; clearing it cancels the choice.
Visits from this device are counted in the audience measurement.
YouTube videos: videos are not loaded when the page opens. A simple image is shown, and the YouTube player is only loaded when the user clicks on it, in "privacy-enhanced mode" (youtube-nocookie.com). From that click on, YouTube (Google) may record information under its own policy.
Donations: on the "Support" page, the PayPal module may set its own cookies, required for payment.
If an external audience-measurement tool or a tracker requiring consent is ever added, a consent banner will be set up beforehand.
20. Emails and newsletter
Some emails are essential to the account and are sent automatically: address confirmation, password reset, important information about the account or the Terms.
The others depend on an explicit, separate choice that can be changed at any time from the profile:
- the newsletter (Lab news, roughly once a month at most);
- beta-test invitations for new games and tools.
Each of these emails contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
21. Contact
For any question about these Terms, personal data, a report, copyright or account deletion:
Email: [email protected]
Form: pawatlabz.com/contact
GitHub: github.com/Pierre-Cinart
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to any more protective mandatory rules of the user's country of residence. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first, before any action before the competent courts.
